As we step into a new year, we at Endurance are proud to reflect on the incredible success of our recent Winter Coat Drive and Fundraiser in partnership with Cradles to Crayons Chicago. As a part of our Endurance Cares social impact program, this initiative aimed to bring warmth and comfort to children in need during the cold winter months.
Making a Difference for Children
Winter can be a challenging time for families facing financial hardship. As many as 1 in 2 children in Chicagoland are at risk of clothing insecurity and lack access to winter essentials. Unfortunately, this can impact their health, school attendance, and overall well-being.
In support of this need, the Endurance team came together to raise donations for Cradles to Crayons, an organization dedicated to providing essential items to children in low-income families. The goal of our campaign was twofold: to collect warm clothing items through physical donations and to raise funds to support Cradles to Crayons’ ongoing efforts.
Exceeding Expectations
We set an initial fundraising goal of $1,000, but thanks to the overwhelming support and contributions from our team, we more than doubled that target. In total, we raised over $2,600 to support Cradles to Crayons!
In addition to monetary donations, our employees also stepped up by donating dozens of coats at physical drop-off locations and purchasing winter gear items on the charity’s Amazon wishlist. These contributions will help ensure that local children will face the upcoming winter months with warmth and dignity.
The Impact of Support
Every coat and hat donated, every dollar raised, and everyone who participated in this initiative contributed to a larger purpose:
- Children received warm, high-quality winter clothing.
- Cradles to Crayons gained the resources needed to continue their work year-round.
- Local families facing hardship felt the tangible support of a caring community.
And, although our fundraiser has come to an end, the needs of children in our communities persist throughout the year. Cradles to Crayons accepts donations year-round at its physical locations in Chicago, Boston, or Philadelphia, as well as through its websites.
